Spotlight: Sodalite
Sodalite is an opaque, navy blue stone with characteristic white calcite streaks and flecks. It is sometimes confused with lapis lazuli but unlike Lapis, very rarely contains the brassy pyrite specks.
Sodalite is stone of self expression and confidence. It encourages being true to self and standing up for your beliefs. Sodalite assists in issues of self worth, self acceptance, and self esteem. This stone will help to achieve emotional balance, and calms anxiety and panic attacks. It can transform a defensive or over-sensitive personality. Sodalite is useful for groups as it brings harmony and solidarity of purpose, and encourages interdependence. It is also an excellent stone for creative types such as artists, singers, painters and sculptors because it promotes inspiration, creativity while also providing protection. Sodalite clears electromagnetic pollution and can be placed on computers.
